I know there's a lot of things people don't like about Katoki but the fact that he made the design of the glorious S and Ex-S Gundam in 1987 is something not to be taken lightly

I mean certainly, one of the first things I think of when I think of Katoki now is just twenty versions of the Jegan D, compared to the original Jegan which somehow feels slender and lanky by comparison

I never liked the gff katoki or the sd g gen version of the xi. They all just looked odd to me. But the movie leaning towards novel design more i dig. The new movie version just looks so much more natural and monstrous with the larger forearms. I’m a xi believer now

The lighter version here is what I was originally going for, trying to imitate Katoki's lightly faded painting palette. After too much time in Photoshop I decided I prefer the dark version in the main post above. Happy accidents I guess 😅
