I can sort of see how they were going for the classic badnik designs, but even the OG crabmeat looked more detailed and menacing than that... thing. And from that angle (i.e. the angle you'll actually see them from in the game), it just looks bad.

Due to asymmetric aspects of their designs, Sig and Ringo are a special case, that requires two sets of every sprite or artwork, to account for these design elements. (Though Ringo’s armband notably doesn’t get that attention to detail.)

What I'm trying to say is that characters like Uzaki aren't that bad tbh, like there's plenty of characters like that in anime. Plus I have seen worse female character designs, uzaki is nothing compared to these.
