I try to experiment a lot with different media techniques in my sketchbooks. The top two images i'm using a fountain pen wetting the lines so they blur and then rolling over with tinted matte media . Learned from looking at cf.payne's work. The second image I added decorative ppr

Seeing actual improvement in my art has me crying. Definitely learned to not be over-reliant on references. over 4 months of drawing every day and this is how much my art has changed. Cat is old, bear is new :)
