the issue is i feel like kuroe was a recontextualizing of kuro's original concept, just much more expanded on. you can see this through their literal designs, which if you have both of them hood up, they have very similar silhouettes and looks

I can sort of see how they were going for the classic badnik designs, but even the OG crabmeat looked more detailed and menacing than that... thing. And from that angle (i.e. the angle you'll actually see them from in the game), it just looks bad.
