Not to be dramatic but I think watching this show as a kid literally changed my life - I was MESMERISED by the gorgeous colours and characters and its influence on my art is still very apparent 15+ years later.

I just caught wind that Mia Ikumi passed away about a week ago. She was the creator of the first anime I truly fell in love with, Tokyo Mew Mew. And a re-imagining is coming out soon as she leaves us. She's a great loss to the creative community of the world. RIP 💗
