Exactly! With comedies, the extreme and exaggerated expressions and reactions add a lot to the effect. The lead actor in My Love Story!! did a great job being expressive and his co-star had the warmth and sincerity of her anime counterpart, so as a movie it was fun!

Classic! My only complaint about this movie are the inserted closeup shots of a real ape when Charles Gemora’s gorilla suit is so much cooler looking. I love gorilla suits in old movies bc they have the exaggerated style of comic-book monster-gorillas. “Realism” is boring!
