best i can do rn is 2am shitty ms paint yeen drawn on laptop touchpad that i accidentally drew w/ the default brush so it has those ugly white dots left over from the fill tool bc ms paint still does not support layering in 2023 but theres probably a workaround i dont know about

On another clipped layer, I put my settings on dodge mode and with the pink colour I draw my lights. On top of the layer, still in dodge mode I airbrush the lights to create a softer effect. And that’s pretty much it

i also like to make a new layer set to overlay at the very end and gently airbrush areas i want more saturated with bright colors such as the neck/face.
i forget what it's called but i really like to use it for adding saturated edges to shadows

a sloppy method would be to merge your base colors onto new layer, clip to grayscale layer, set layer mode to color and mess with the saturation/luminosity. i have my base colors separated into parts so i can select i.e the sweater and finetune colors
