I noticed lately that in *drawings* I enjoy making the shadows to look like shadows (not just 'your typical cellshadey thing'). Figuring out where the cast shadows go feels like a nice exercise for my brain! Sometimes, to check if I'm right, I even build a maquette!

found some scans of animation cells from Belvision's Tintin Objectif Lune on tumblr today and they're just so.......eerily crisp. the only versions of this movie I can find to watch are in, like, 360p, so it's kinda low-key nuts to see these in such high definition
