In YJ she was given a rich backstory, drive, a complex personality and a deep character arc that spanned through four seasons, and in the comics she was shown seeking her daughter and redemption, both whice she attained after protecting Gotham from dictators.
Recently, and thankfully, the character has slowly been restored to who she previously were, and my I say, perfected, as animations like Young Justice and Soul of the dragon and comics like Catwoman have given her more dimension, backstories, direction.

@Sweetsaddict_A Lazuli is a Soulek, a species who can use their soul as a weapon/tool determinant on the color given at birth via genes.
Her specifically is a white soul, one who can have access to all powers. Lazuli has to come to terms with who she is and the goals set before her.
