Fun tip! When done with your art, copy the whole thing (bg invisible) as merged layer, make selection of layer, create new layer above, set to glow dodge, make a pink or purple to transparent gradient from top corner, bring down opacity. Adds lovely color to your art!

The one on the left is from April 2018. It was the first time I had drawn Spyro. It is, admittedly, not good, but it taught me much. It was nice to go back and try again now that I’m further along in my concentration. It was also nice to ditch the gradient.

something interesting i noted -- while in lif's static portrait in fe:h it looks like he still has the lighter tips of his hair, the lighter sections are just the glow from his mask!! so alfonse somehow lost his gradient hair somewhere along the way...🤔
