Reason for final design
PE can switch forms, so we hope to strengthen the contrast between them - so we choose Angel for Guardian, and Demon for Knight form.

Even the skirts and hairstyles are different. Angel elements like feathers, and the colours are used to show justice.

i personally just think it's not that different, they just drew her with a smaller face which is normal in a lot anime styles. it's just feels more shoujo-y, never made me think she was way younger than she really was.
