One of the things I wanted to focus on with each of these challenges is to try and distance myself from my "default" form of illustration. So for this one I tried emulating charcoal sketching. (Yes that is a headband carapace)

@Shadow7523 2016 vs 2020 vs 2022. Her default build is really more like the second but its not the most recent drawing and Ive been messing around with different body types for fun (you can tell that last one is a christmas drawing).

Funny enough, Gen 6-8 were the ones with the most dynamic art vs the in-game presentation since the 3D models are so lifeless in their default poses. That said, arguing about Gen 9 is cherry picking since a lot still have lively and fun poses.

Hopefully a TF2 mod project tries to incorporate them in some fashion.

I'd expect that hats could be possible with them via hair bodygroups that dissapear with certain hats being equipt, since the default mercs have very form fitting hair, or none.
