I was legit confused as to why they gave Elise of all people a ninja alt, but then it hit me that it's a nod to one of her cipher cards and I'm a SUCKER for cipher references!

Let's start being direct:

I believe the Greek mythology references in the Akropolis Tower are a nod or a foreshadowing to No. 9 as a character and his goal in plot.

Let me elaborate:

I always read it as a Schuster/Fleischer nod, what with Batman getting those Detective Comics 27 ears... I can see how that Swan-ish, distinguished aging got lost in translation but I appreciate the attempt!

The Flannel Shirt trait gives a nod to "Marshall Lee", who is a Vampire/Demon Hybrid from the Adventure Time series.

This trait is owned by just 2% of Vampires, with 162 donning this shirt.

A huge shout out and thank you to for the AMAZING job done in creating my character reference sheet! I'm so happy with how it turned out, and feel that the style gives a small nod to the whimsy and wonder that I so love. ✨🌱🍄

Day 30: ευδαιμονία, having a good daemon. Bit of a stretch to draw Socrates’ daimon, who would stop him from doing what he shouldn’t.

Flowers a nod to the translation of ‘flourishing’ that some philosophers prefer to ‘happiness’ for ευδαιμονία.

My headcanon is Agents are not as advanced as Kit and Surge, but are still more useful than a regular old robot. also. The SwatBot Commander is a nod to the commander swatbot in sonic satam and the Dark Chronicles swatbot.

In a nod to popular culture in the early 1970’s, Southwestern artist created a series of astrological paintings, drawings & essays. Here is a photo of DeGrazia's “Scorpio” from his Zodiac Series, have a great birthday month!🦂♏️

*MBJ pauses at the door--expression unreadable--before he comes to some internal decision, and, with a small nod, leaves the room.*

Day 24: School Outfits

This is a scene I'm really looking forward to properly writing in Shamanic Witch. This particular snippet is a nod to the Demo version of Vanessa Carlton's Ordinary Day.

In the original SpongeBob movie, when Mr. Krabs is making his big announcement, Mrs. Puff says she paid $9 to get in, while Sandy says she paid $10. I always wondered if this was a subtle nod to Krusty Love, with Krabs giving Puff a $1 discount due to some lingering emotions.

31. "I just said you look gorgeous!" Mira answered, smiling. "WOW... What a perfect head you have! Can I touch it?" the girl asked shily.

Paige, so much calmed than before, managed to nod her head, affirmatively.

"It's so smooth!" Mira whispered, delighted.
