Ok I took the same drawing I made last week and blended the colors together to make shadows and added a background. Not really sure of which style I like the most but I can definitely work on both!

Have been stressed at work lately so I painted my fiancé's OC today.

Picture references really do help a lot! I usually eyeball some assets from multiple pictures and smoosh them together. I eyeball colors as well, not color pick -- so it could have those blended colors effect
