The Night of Hecate, which begins November 16th at sunset, marks the night to honour the Three-Formed goddess Hecate, who's associated with liminal realms, the occult, & necromancy, & is the goddess of witchcraft & mystery.

Hecate Night is traditionally held on November 16th. This is the night she haunts the crossroads with her hounds.

“Deer-huntress”
KOUROTROPHOS
“Nurturer of Children”

This is where Hecate comes as Midwife. Often there were old women who knew herbs, prayers, chants that would make the experience easier for the birthing woman. Birthing requires comfort with pain, with blood & matter, and Hecate is not troubled by the sight of this.
Hecate is not in the Underworld (Subconscious) or in the Olympus, she stands between. Experienced & wise, she knows about life's sufferings & if we meet her during transitions, she will be understanding but will also not hide the Truth. She helps with our rebirth.
Hecate does not appear in the myth again, until Persephone passes by & she greets her with much affection. She tells her: "From that on the lady follows Persephone". We all have experienced being Persephone - we were carefree, thought all is good, only for life to fall apart.
As she ages, Hecate can appear in woman with any of the archetypes. Some women may experience Hecate and relate to her early in life, and usually those are people we consider "old souls" - they are wiser than their age, and have intuitive, different way of perceiving things.

Time to relive this thread with the one that is neither a virgin, nor vulnerable, nor alchemical. Unlike other goddesses, for which we can define a childhood pattern, we cannot do so for Hecate as she is a mature archetype.
Haven't been super active since I'm working on a couple of projects that I'm not quite ready to show, yet, but in the meantime here's a WIP of what will eventually become Hecate in a #HadesGame inspired style. Thanks for your patience!
