Twenty-five paintings by Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko (1909-97) have been destroyed in recent days through the bombing by Russian forces of a museum dedicated to her work in Ivankiv, a city northwest of Kyiv.
Look at these things - they’re beautiful.

A beautiful painting by the lauded Ukrainian artist Maria Primachenko. Born in the village of Bolotnya, Primachenko taught herself to paint, draw and embroider. https://t.co/KJfdZw1Lru
#Ukranian artist #MariaPrimachenko's “A Dove Has Spread Her Wings and Asks for Peace” symbolizes so poignantly, eloquently heart-rending real-time devastatingly deadly invasion of #Ukraine. Which its truly patriotic, proud peoples are enduring and actively resisting. #Solidarity
Danke für euren Support, ihr Lieben! 🥺💜💫

Picasso la vide esposta a Parigi e disse “I bow down before the artistic miracle of this brilliant Ukrainian.” #UkraineRussiaWar https://t.co/xvIuwhFrOX
A sign of Putin’s barbarity to destroy a museum in #Ukraine. Especially one which celebrates the joyous art of Maria Prymachenko. Here are a few of her works (random examples not from the museum AFAIK) .@UNESCO must intervene with Putin https://t.co/zzMQaunLOh
Cover für eines der kommenden Bücher ? So total 0-8-15 BL-Pose ( und die einzigen 2, die auf ein Cover kommen, weil ich keine 7 Bände machen werde XD)
Reported by more than one outlet: Russians burned the museum of Maria Prymachenko (fan artbot account: @PrymachenkoArt). One of the most unique, wonderful, powerful Ukrainian artists, rooted in Ukrainian folk art tradition. They are erasing, ploughing over Ukrainian heritage. https://t.co/f5qjd4Hbz5
'A Dove Has Spread Her Wings and Asks for Peace' (1982) by Maria Primachenko. When Picasso saw her work in Paris in 1936 he said: “I bow down before the artistic miracle of this brilliant Ukrainian.” One year later, he painted his own 'Dove of Peace' 🕊️
