Started the day off making blocks for color layers. This is step two, setting the color. These are often really creepy when mirrored because our brains want to recognize pattern and shape, and mirroring plugs right into that mechanism.

I pick out the parts I find interesting and unique to myself (eye shape, nose, hair, etc) and after possibly tracing my own face a few times I re-sketch it w/o tracing and go from there. That way you keep your style and adjust while keeping some semblance of yourself intact!
