This countryside vista is based on a view from Cleveland Way in the North Yorkshire Moors. I interpreted the distant fields using a variety of textures! The whole scene is bathed in a pinky golden light with a tapestry of heather in the foreground.

This lone tree, surrounded by a carpet of heather is a well known icon on Egton High Moor in North Yorkshire. I gave the view a glowing sunset light and used a variety of textures and colours to depict the heather. What do you think?

Two guardians stand in front of twin doors. The one on the left can only bake you scones and says “that’s lovely dearie” in a thick Yorkshire accent the other only stares vacantly at you. Whose door will you go through?

“Behind her back she's Gentleman Jack
A Yorkshire lady of reknown
Ever so fine
Won't toe the line
Speak her name, gentlemen frown”
________

Gentleman Jack fanart! I just recently watched the first season but it has instantly become one of my favorite TV shows ever! 💘

As it's our council leader 's birthday, I couldn't resist a homemade brownie cartoon. Congratulations too to M.P. who celebrated her birthday yesterday by becoming West Yorkshire's first elected mayor (her brownies turned out to be perfectly legal).
