Damn, I almost forgot my third paleoart: Sinosauropteryx! This is the first paleoart I’ve done without scanning in an ink drawing and making a digital background. The digital line work was a great deal of fun, and I kinda think that it’s better than the final colored product

When I submitted my concepts I lobbied strongly for the violet for the background montages but Lucasfilm wanted a lighter background. This means that the final painting is very from the final poster

I had a thought after seeing all the circus stuff in HB’s background. Blitzo probably went by his full name back then ie the “o” wasn’t silent. Kinda like how a clown would have a name like Bozo or Pogo. When he left, he probably decided to drop the “o” to be taken seriously.
