As for the w/g element in a game, I’d love to see food related items that not only raise stats/restore health or mana, but also cause the character to get fatter and slower the more they eat.

Just take a look at games like freedom planet in comparison with Sonic. It originally started off as a Sonic Fan game, but then grew into an independent passion project apart from Sonic!

Awesome game, great story, still kinda jank. They really perfected the combat and gameplay with 0 and onward and it's not fair to compare the earlier entries in the series to that standard but i don't care. Would've been a 9 in 2010
