Fennekin is based on the fennec fox! Those HUGE ears are a special adaptation for life in the desert. Blood circulates through the large ears, cooling off & keeping the fox from overheating. They're cute, but you do NOT want one as a pet!

Book 95: Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution

This was a pretty decent adaptation of the film. I wouldn't be opposed to reading another Pokémon manga from Machito Gomi in the future.

Looks like you've already got all shapes nicely mapped out for a stylized bust!!

I know little bout sculpting, but in terms of stylizing Joel (in 2D) a great example comes from 's Disney adaptation. It's a single perspective but could hopefully help/inspire.

The only reason I don't see is cuz they already retold the story of S1 twice with manga (Movie 1st The Comic & Original Chronicle Lyrical Nanoha The 1st)

If I were honest, I wouldn't mind the next project being an adaptation of Innocent. It prob won't be, but I'd support it.
