I don't LOVE retelling the show but I think that can still be fun. I also like the idea of telling side stories or even mild sequels.

Another option I'd like to see is a LOTR Third Age approach where we play new characters within the existing framework of a Digimon season

Also, Auf Wiedersehen Monty is a sequel that I really enjoyed. Lots of wee differences to how the game is played. A few objects to pick up somewhere and deliver somewhere else. A flying subgame I mostly ignored. And a rocking Hubbard+Daglish soundtrack to boot. 👍

What a fun movie! With unique characters and surprisingly mature love story. It feels too short and still has so many stories to tell. Hope there will be a sequel!

I mean, it's still an excellent sequel, for sure. But it feels like they had a brainstorm session to think of what to add, but they never revisited it to look at what to take back out. Similarly, there are six robot types now, and the rooms feel a bit cluttered with its 3d style.
