There are lots of comparisons of to classics like Wario Land (definitely the most obvious) and Sonic.

I just finished pizza tower. And I genuinely think this might be my favorite indie game ever made. Every level legit does something cool as hell to stay interesting. Didn't get bored once! And it has the most funny movement animations ever! Definitely need to draw fan art soon!
