@U_Alatalo Oh, I’m playing a human wizard! Julian’s a magibotanist who’s researching to write an encyclopaedia of every magical plant and plant-creature. He’s very earnest and gregarious (somehow he’s ended up as the party face 😂) but he’s definitely a bit of an eccentric.

Yuya Nakajima, the leader of Mayday Panic, is also it’s youngest member at 18 years old. They identify as X-gender and usually present as masculine (especially after the H Act was enacted). Their passion is with plants and nature and they want to be a botanist after high school.

#SketchbookSunday: Archaeologists are essential to an excavation site for sure. Anthropologists, zoologists, botanists, and architects are needed too.
But it is the many local workmen doing the actual digging, who keep the whole thing running.
Here‘s to them. ✊
German botanist and entomologist George Dionysius Ehret was born #OnThisDay in 1708. He was also a dab hand at illustration, as can be seen in his work of the 1750s 'Plantae and rariores papiliones', a copy of which is housed at the RHS Lindley Library. #BotanicalArt

Today we’re admiring some wonderful fungi woodblock illustrations from the 1920-22 edition of 'Honzo Zufu' by Iwasaki Tsunemasa (1786-1842). As well as being a botanist, entomologist and zoologist, Tsunemasa was a samurai in the service of the Tokugawa shogunate. #FungiFriday
