I look good and all but I like what I'm doing rn. Its kinda unique. I appreciate the advice tho. I do make a layer just for sharing and one for the lighter parts. Here is one of my older drawings for you to see how I use to shade.

Then of course I do lineart. When I color I always do everything on separate layers. It's just easier that way. I have color palettes for every OC but for skin I always use the base color, and two other colors to shade.

I learned a new way to shade. Slight changes like this changes it so much in a way. I’m feeling better with the direction my art is going. I was so stuck. I honestly wanted to quit. Anyways- PHROG!!!

Then there's Professor Birch's colors, May's father and Hoenn's Prof., with his darker greyish hair. For this one I mostly took the colors from his Ruby/Sapphire artwork (including backpack-colored earrings!), but the shoes had me use the remakes art for a lighter shade.
