Yeah, sadly her characterization has gotten a lot more flat and uninteresting over the years. For my money, she's at her absolute best in O'Neil/Cowan's Question run, but Simone's BoP is pretty high up there too -- and they're both great comics on their own to boot!

Personally, I'd start with THE QUESTION. For my money, that book still has the best Lady Shiva ever and it's a damn fine comic by itself too! Don't forget the Fables annuals too.

Other than that, Puckett's BATGIRL, Simone's BIRDS OF PREY and Hill's OUTSIDERS are top-notch too.
