Many may ask what the stripes on Ardan's snout are. Are they scars or scale patterns? Why does he have them, but Sorcha doesn't?
The answer to that question: I have no idea! An artist added them years and years ago when Ardan was still new and they grew on me!

The neotype, USNM 4734, has a fragmentary skull which underwent distortion. This lead to it being reconstructed with a very short snout that looks like an Allosaurid cosplaying as an Abelisaurid. This weirdness is what influenced the short snouted Allosaurus in WWD
