The Viking longship enabled the mobility and aggression of raids and campaigns throughout the Viking Age. Longships were sail-and-oar vessels which were clinker-built (with overlapping planks). This design allowed them to withstand heavy seas and shallow rivers alike.

I havn't been drawing too much lately, figured i'd post the sketches i did make. Some Dnd and myself + some friends as vessels. All i've been playing is Hollow Knight so.
in 1378 Squire Ramsay scaled walls of South Berwick. English Garrison fled as they thought it was a large assault. 10,000 troops & vessels were sent north to besiege Castle. Douglases tried to reach Castle but withdrew to Melrose where they defeated the English army chasing them.
