My Metroidvania of the year award goes to Souldiers. This is honestly a really great little game, fun mechanics and vibrant areas. There's this one area called the Great Pyramid, and it should be the Not So Great Pyramid because I was trapped there for 6 hours of gameplay.

2. Holy shit I love No more heroes 3! I was waiting to play this game for years and it absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. The gameplay loop is great, the story is one of the most entertaining I've had, and I've been listing to the ost non-stop since I beat it!
