It's amazing how much my art has progressed since 2005 (The year I first started drawing in my signature style). I was 15 & had a wild mind back then. The left shows the ol' school.
The right are today's results. Safe to say I have upgraded my art over the years. 😊

I’m not quite sure how to answer, personally — I do a bit of both.

In my case, I tend to mostly do hard lighting because it suits my style, but airbrushed lighting can also work well for more impactful results. Sometimes I mix both in one image.

I did AI thing, yay!
Wanted to know if Dall-E mini knew what DBZ was, the prompt was "Videl from dragonball sitting on the floor with her legs crossed" this was 1 of the 9 results. I then painted over it a bit, it was fun might try some more in the future.
