I was on Keenspace—my main comic was called Glick Glidewell, and I also did one called Cat-Cat the Cat with some friends. I was in high school (more like Teenspace amiright 🥁) and it was a great way to start out 'tooning. Cat-Cat is behind the lamp on this cover.

Jean-Claude Mézières has gone to the stars. One of the giants of Europan cartooning and a childhood hero and my introduktion to what science fiction could do with the comicbook medium. So happy his work existed when I grew up, work that brought me so many brilliant memories ❤️

Jean-Claude Mézières RIP one of the giants of Europan cartooning. His work on Valerian, from mid-sixties until around the mid-eighties is amongst the greatest, grounded SF comics ever made. Farewell, Imaginaut.
