I know it’s because they were all being transferred but it’s a nice detail like Tomura is not alone one last time.
Just my thoughts on how this perfectly directed episode was able to grasp & convey naturally to the audience exactly what they were feeling in this scene
And how this scene itself was able to strongly portray the butterflies in your stomach that come with a 1st time romantic love
Overall, the atmosphere in this scene is immaculate. The bright face lighting has you tightly focusing on the characters' expressions. Dimly lit and blurred backgrounds so that you focus on how they look at each other. The entire room goes still around them. This is their moment.
involved. This is their last night together. Even if the viewer hadn't completely picked up on that yet, similar to Powder, you're picking up on the vibe that they're not planning on being around forever. That they're planning on leaving sometime soon. This night is all they have
