what i do is hard shade, then use the airbrush tool over the seam. it sorta gives it the illusion of strictly hard shading while having a much softerr blend to it

Anyone know how to do this coarse style blend in photoshop? blend tool just sorta makes it blurry, I’m trying to pull off effect of having old paint in your brush & dragging it anyway vs pure color samples. I know some rare brush presets do this but don’t know the name/setting
