The biggest challenge was balancing the comp in the left corner. All 3 characters there are pretty contained in their silhouettes and the dwarf is turned away from the focus. My solution was to add the character into the corner to push the view back towards the bard. 6/6

The poses of the party were an integral part of the storytelling. I mostly stuck to what I had in the sketch. Notice also how the poses also double as a focusing factor towards the bard, especially with the Thiefling and the Dragonborn.5/6

Here you can see that shift to the cold foreground and warmer sunlight on the bard. I sometimes forgo a detailed line-art and just jump right into the painting from the colour sketch. This is an organic and fun way to paint if I am confident in the scene.4/6
