Speaking of brushwork -- WHEW! I think my biggest improvement was definitely in technique.
Directional strokes, working with opacity, layering and mixing colors, soft vs hard edges, the impact of the correct undercolor... I'm excited to implement these in some original artwork!

The same goes for landscapes, though I haven't painted NEARLY enough of those. There's a fair bit of improvement still visible though, mostly in terms of brushworks. Most importantly, I no longer feel scared of painting backgrounds - yay!
