@CapmTrevo @ohjefframos I have a huge 💙 for the 8bit era dirty & creatively detailed style. Creative use of dithering and nice sharp contrasts make them both beautiful and easy to read on the play-ability end. Games like Batman titles, Shatterhand, Vice: Project Doom, and a bunch of the Natsume games.
@artofblake For example on the shark I look at the arm because of the HUE and VALUE contrast on that edgelight (which looks great!) but you should add more interest on the face unless your focal is the arm!

Another variant. For this one, the Saturation was bumped up to 2, Brightness to -1, and Contrast to 4 (via @acornapp's Color Controls) with a Color Posterization of 4 and then using a closest color algorithm to select the closest EGA color.
