Some fun painting practice with old Grim! I tried going back to painting local colours first but can’t resist the values + gradient maps route, thanks a lot 🤣

(2/2) And here is today's advice. Even for smooth surfaces I don't like having the image appear too flat so I add a subtle gradient with a darker, more saturated color and the airbrush tool.

Just watched the most recent episode of the USUM Shinylocke between and and I have to say, the shiny Zygarde was gorgeous. I love the gradient and the rainbow aesthetic,,, so I drew it haha.
