Like I had very few books as a young child but this illustration has a special place in my heart. I loved the beautiful lady’s clothes & the shoemaker’s dainty offering.

Today is These images are by my all time favourite book illustrator - the fantastic Brian Wildsmith. And it only occurred to me today that your own illustrations also have this wonderful, painterly, emotive quality - I love them!
