As an artistic style, Rococo represented a reaction against the grandeur, symmetry, and strict regulations of the Baroque.

While we were still figuring out how to handle Malachite, I made this piece of concept art. The story presented in it ended up being so strong that it made it all the way into the volume itself! I also made this other concept, a more eclectic combination of the sisters' designs.
