for the most part I started using thinner lineart which does end up with a higher fidelity at the cost of "oh god I need to spend more time on this now"

The major difference is I started making my lineart heftier (again) as part of SOP, as weaning myself off brush stabilizer led to a period of particularly light lineart.

Well, 5 days later and the picture is finally done! The lineart did change a little but I think it still turned out pretty well, now Star just has to do her version of the coloring lol.

Day 563: I watched some of @\illustratoreri's stream today and was inspired to try abandoning lineart and just go for colors/shapes. So far I'm liking it. I always color/render over my lineart anyway, so why not do it at an earlier step? Bonus face close-up.

Clean lineart and flats sucked the life out of my Clover Mouse but I’ll fix that in the real coloring. Besides this piece was more about finishing than pursuing my new style so I fell back on old habits (over polishing).
