In order to create a dramatic atmosphere, I applied a painting method that was frequently used in Renaissance paintings - Chiaroscuro.

Chiaroscuro, in art, is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting the whole composition.

There is a three-year difference between these two drawings of mine. And I always find it interesting to compare similar drawings since it clearly shows in which parts I improved. Really happy about how I added much more detail and complexity to recent drawings :)
