LIDÉRC A unique supernatural being of Hungarian folklore, otherwise may be called Temporal Devil, he has many known forms but his origins are unclear.
It was Wader Conservation World Watch event this past weekend. November is not the best period shorebird-wise in Hungary, so it was pleasing to find good numbers of Lapwings and Curlews in my favourite area in Kiskunság National Park. Here are a few sketches I made. #wcww8
Cursed mascots 🪱🧸
Based on polish & hungarian crisps packaging — I love redrawing stuff in my style hehe✹
Tired of barely hearing about Hungarian mythological figures so i'm gonna try drawing as many as i can,
starting off with VADLEÁNY - Meaning "Wild Girl", an elusive forest sprite who seduces shepherds, saps their strength and makes the forest rustle.
#Halloween: "John Bull's Allies" - The illustration from the Austro-Hungarian magazine "Die Muskete" (22 March 1917) shows John Bull petting his newest ally, the Monster of Usury of Food, since Time, Death and Hunger has failed him.
For once I made a Great War era character, based on a real figure of that era, " Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf " in an adorable style!
Also my first Austro-Hungarian drawing so cheers!
#Halloween: "Full Speed Ahead Towards World Domination" - The illustration from the Austro-Hungarian magazine "Die Muskete" (6 Sept. 1917) shows Uncle Sam as a stoker showelling soldiers into the furnace powering the war.
