this specimen is just over fifteen inches long and is an excellent example of deep sea gigantism, especially with its large compound eyes

So "tongue-eating isopods" eat & replace fish tongues, right? This has bothered me, bc fish have bony tongues (unlike mammalian muscular tongues), so how is this possible? My student Briana Washington analyzed a CT scan of a parasitized jack & found the tongue intact!
