The Stikini are witches from Seminole folklore. During the day, they resemble average people. At night, they vomit up their souls and turn into undead owl creatures that eat human hearts. #LegendaryWednesday #ofdarkandmacabre

@horrorvisuals Whiskers- It's a good horror point and click escape game. Really nice puzzles that aren't too hard to figure out, and really nice art. Another is the Forgotten Hill series, same sort of point and click horror escape game, but has a deep and rich lore.
i made a #Splatoon oc for literally no reason. she's a bigfin squid with an affinity for jazz and old spooky folklore. is also like a billion years old #splatoonoc
A cool theme that I'm thinking of following with the the characters in Lotte's world is mythology and folklore. I made a concept of a mischievous cloud kid that would accompany Lotte (???).

In terms of the future of my artwork, I don't plan on leaving it any time soon. In fact, I plan on improving my talents. New opportunities mean new fields to explore.
For now, here is some anime-esque leg designs I've made (with zero refs and ALL freehanded):

Another book I’ve read is this one, which is eerie with hints of folklore. I enjoyed it, and there is lots to discuss with children - TW the main character has a life limiting illness. @nicklakeauthor
Huldra is a seductive nymph in Norwegian folklore. In early lore she is often described as having a hollow back, but later (C19th onwards) depictions focus on her beauty. She is known for her long blonde hair, and a tail that falls off if she marries a man.

The nasnas is the monstrous offspring of a human & a demon in Arab folklore. It's described as half a human: half a head, half a body, one arm, one leg, & sometimes a bat-like wing. But they're agile at hopping, & can beat a human to death with their one hand. #FolkloreSunday
Thanks Dala!
