As much as I love HxH 2011
It's 1999 adaptation also deserves it's praise, with it's stellar 90's aesthetics, atmosphere, enjoyable and effective filler, direction, that sometimes even surpasses the 2011 version, and music

Of course, 2011 is superior but it's a great watch

The sky is filled with the looming presence of greninja and cinderace. Each step with their soft plump feet sends another cloud of debris into the atmosphere, and ripples throughout the valley. Good luck surviving the onslaught of steppies.

In terms of atmosphere, Yuru Camp is probably the closest anime I've seen to Aria for me. Also not an anime but SeaBed (VN) give off a lot of similar vibe to despite being more bittersweet story overall. Highly recommend anyone who're a fan of these check out each other

Testing an idea: model a perspective sphere on the camera using from edges from a UV Sphere, sketch an environment from the camera view with Grease Pencil, and then model the sketch. The idea is to do another sketch overlay each day I work on it. Super happy with the results.
