Because Appmon was a new concept, it couldn't just use a handful of new characters with the rest being existing ones, so it had a HUGE amount of new characters designed for the anime, 3DS game, and TCG.
However they've barely been used since, which is a shame.

If you liked seeing Triceratops visit a cave to feed on clay in #PrehistoricPlanet, I actually drew a piece in 2020 depicting a similar concept, with Einiosaurus visiting a cave to obtain salt and minerals unavailable elsewhere. Cool to see such a concept realised on screen now!

Just finished drawing the bug line for my Pokemon fangame concept, Pokemon Fable!
Petalpede > Corolis > Hesperose. They're all Bug/Fairy types.
Seahorse...
-mouth is fixed open
-ears and arms is replaced by decorative tiny fins.
-entire pelvis is removed, lower body is simplified to a slim tail.

@shareocs When they were concieved as a concept, Freedom was born male, but as the years went on and they hopped from pantheon to pantheon, Freedom stepped down into godhood and became Splotch, who is decidedly agender mostly! They do, however, like lookin feminine!
