Taking a day to relax on my native islands of Indonesia. Such beautiful foliage that pops against the colors of my plumage and ensemble!

This was originally supposed to be a way for me to practice foliage, but it ended up taking like 45 hours (since I had to redraw the background like 4 fucking times, and changed all the colors halfway through). In the end though I’m actually quite happy with it so... :)

MORE TREES, adding foliage between trees to fill in the gaps, main tree done with extra detail, adding dappled light effect to trees. rough shading of water

So this is my prompt for the challenge!

This first month's theme was plants, so I took the opportunity to improve my foliage brushwork (no foliage brushes, just pure grind). Oh, and it features catto >:3

Tropical foliage plants are more popular than ever, but is the present fad for frondescent and domestic a new phenomenon?

~2 years ago at work, I had a foliage-artist phase, went down the rabbit hole, wanted to learn as much as possible and tried lots of techniques!

I remember contacting a bunch of vegetation artist for tips! 🍃
Found those images in my archives and wanted to share some tips

Hey y'all! I was thinking of taking on an experimental bust badge! Itd be in the linestyle of the tropical piece & ref below, colored obviously! Id like to try including background elements like either foliage/shapes/food.
Either that or dumb emote/telegram sticker practice x"D

This week in my sketchbook there’s more from Terry’s Journal! In our campaign there’s an odd problem with local plants all growing roses in full bloom instead of their normal foliage.
Hope you’re keeping well : )

Nice to revisit old works to do some touch ups. This one was from 2018 I believe... Been a while... I still don't know how to paint foliage and I refuse to make a brush for it.
