he doesn't hide his scars so the red lines are very visible if he's wearing short sleeves, they came about due to repeated summoning magic overuse and pushing himself in battle as well as traveling, it got better after shadowbringers though (art by @/wrogig8)

Some closeups! I actually struggled a lot with this piece but in the end I'm really happy with it! Sometimes pushing through the struggle is very worthwhile. In all I think I spent about 30 hours on this, and at least 5 were on layers that ended up fully deleted and redone!
