I think they're more so talking about how they clearly just used the 2019 design in general with the flash back. Like sure the spines are somewhat obscured, but the ones that you can see are clearly not on the 2014 model.

I knew there'd be sentimental value somewhat just from the poster alone. But I was not expecting it to be so.... mature. The blood, the distress, all that. Soundtrack carries this movie very well also. Nothing can beat Japan's creativity and their execution.
