Nah, I'm pretty sure it's intentional.
Animation smears (duplicates that represent motion) are one of the oldest and common animation techniques. But they're usually in 2d, so putting them in 3d can seem a bit off.

New OC! Izanagi based on my dog of the same name. He has an assassin style of combat and mostly sticks to close quarters using his dagger to take down his foes. He also uses magical techniques via blood magic by slicing his palm to activate his skills.
